Aviva Global Investment Account

Aviva Global Investment Account is an investment-linked assurance plan that offers you a world of quality investment-linked funds, the underlying funds of which are managed by the experienced talents in the business. With a minimum of HK$100,000, you gain access to these high quality investment-linked funds through one simple account.

Key Features of Aviva Global Investment Account:

  • A wide range of investment-linked funds, of which their underlying funds are managed by global experts
  • Six contract currencies to choose from: HKD, USD, GBP, EURO, AUD, and SGD
  • Unlimited fund switching allows you to adjust your portfolio anytime. Minimum amount per switch is HK$10,000. Currently, there is no switching fee applied.
  • Easy Save Option allows you added flexibility by investing by instalments. If you choose the Easy Save Option, a shortfall fee will be imposed when the total amount of premiums paid within the first 12 months does not meet the minimum account value requirement (HK$ 100,000).
  • Bonus units that enhance potential future returns. Bonus units will be offered for investments equal to or greater than HK$300,000 per year. Bonus units will form part of your account value and are subject to the fees applicable to the plan.
  • Efficient tax arrangement through clustering. Your policy will be segmented into identical clusters to capture tax planning opportunities. Under the present tax laws in Hong Kong, your account is not subject to income tax or capital gains tax at source. However, the taxes applicable to your account may depend on the tax laws in your country of nationaility or residency.
  • Fees and Charges

    Policy Charges:

    Establishment Fee (for both initial and subsequent investment)
    For the first 3 policy years, establishment fee will be charged on premiums paid.

    Management Fee
    Management Fee will be charged on the net asset value of your policy.

    Exit Fee (for both initial and subsequent investment)
    For the first 5 policy years, Exit Fee (subject to a maximum of 8%) may apply for both partial withdrawal and surrender.

    Shortfall Fee (Applicable to investors using Easy Save Option)
    Shortfall Fee applies only if premiums paid via Easy Save Option do not meet the minimum account value.

    Underlying Fund Charges:

    Annual Management Charge
    Annaul Management Charge is levied by the underlying fund manager(s) and vary depending on the investment-linked fund(s) selected.

Aviva Global Savings Account

Aviva Global Savings Account is an investment-linked assurance plan that enables you to gain access to the world’s investment markets. This plan is not nor should it be treated as a bank savings account and it is not protected by the Deposit Protection Scheme. With a minimum monthly contributions of HK$1,500, you can choose from a selection of high quality investment-linked funds, the underlying funds of which are managed by leading international fund management companies. You also have the flexibility to switch between the investment-linked funds at any time, so you can always adjust your strategy as needed.

Key Features of Aviva Global Savings Account:

  • Access to a wide range of investment-linked funds, of which their underlying funds are managed by global experts
  • Unlimited investment-linked fund switching allows you to adjust your portfolio anytime. Currently, there is no switching fee applied.
  • Six contract currencies at your choice: HKD, USD, GBP, EURO, AUD, and SGD
  • Option to vary regular premium contribution subject to the approval of Aviva. The regular premium contribution can be increased anytime subject to the minimum remaining policy term requirement prevailing at the time of your request and the requirement on minimum regular premium increase. Currently, the minimum monthly regular premium increase for HKD contract currency is HK$400. The 18-month Initial Contribution Period (ICP) for the increased portion of the regular premium contribution will start at the next appropriate premium due date from the receipt date of the increased premium. Also the regular premium contribution can be reduced anytime after the ICP provided that the regular premium contribution after reduction is not less than the minimum regular premium instalment amount prevailing at the time of your request. Currently, the minimum monthly regular premium instalment for HKD contract currney is HKD$ 1,500.
  • Single premium top-up allows you to capture investment opportunities. A one-time charge of upfront administration fee will be deducted from each single premium top-up made before units are allocated. The minimum single premium top-up is HK$18,000.
  • Premium Holiday adds flexibility to cater for your financial needs. Premium Holiday can be taken at any time after the 18-month ICP (fees and charges still apply) provided that the net asset value of the account is above the minimum policy value (HK$1,900).
  • Bonus units enhance potential future returns.With a monthly premium contribution of at least HKD3,000 and with a policy term of at least 10 years, bonus units will be allocated to the regular premium contribution during the 18-month ICP . Bonus units will form part of the account value and are subject to the fees and charges applicable to the plan. Aviva reserves the right to reclaim the bonus units in case of death (other than accidental death) of the life assured within the ICP.
  • Efficient tax arrangement. Under the present tax laws in Hong Kong, your account is not subject to income tax or capital gains tax at source. However, the taxes applicable to your policy may depend on the tax laws in your country of nationaility or residency.

    Policy Fees and Charges:

    Initial Administration Fee
    Initial Adminstiration Fee will be charged on the value of initial units.

    Investment Management Fee
    Investment Management Fee will be charged on the total value of initial and accumulation units.

    Policy Fee
    A policy fee will be charged in advance and deducted immediately before the premiums are invested.

    Upfront Administration Fee (for single premium top-up)
    A one-time charge of Upfront Administration Fee will be deducted from each single premium top-up made before units are allocated.

    Exit Fee (for both partial withdrawal and surrender)
    An Exit Fee, subject to a minimum of 100% of the value of initial units withdrawn or surrendered will be charged.

    Credit Card Charge
    A fee will be charged for payment by credit card.

    Underlying Fund Charges:

    Annual Management Charge
    Annual Management Charge is levied by the underlying fund manager(s) and vary depending on the investment-linked fund(s) selected.

    Other Fund Charges
    Other charges may be imposed by the underlying fund managers.
